Training Journal Change Management Awards night

Richard Smith was a guest of the Training Journal at their Awards Night this evening. It was a spectacular gala event at which awards were presented for a variety of training and related initiatives. The Change Management judges were delighted to award the gold prize in their category to South Oxfordshire & Vale of White Horse District Council for an outstanding change programme through which the 'back offices' of two separate district councils were successfully merged.

This week saw another event run in support of the global supply chain of a major f.m.c.g. business. As always in these events the importance of being highly effective in basic processes, and of continuing to develop those processes, was apparent. However the critical importance of great 'people' connectivity in the supply chain - focused on leadership, team and communication, and the disciplines that support them - formed the most enduring fresh insights for many participants.

The Pharmacuetical Supply Chain

Supply Chain professionals from a global Pharmaceutical group gathered from around the world in Basel this week to participate in a leadership learning event. Using a 'live' business simulation adapted for Supply Chain, the activity and discussion created rich learning both about technical supply chain issues and about the vital leadership, team and communication components which underpin supply chain success.
